Reports To: Associate Director of Transportation Start Date: October 2026 Summary Description: The Transportation team at BB&N is seeking a reliable and responsible part-time School Bus Monitor to begin in October 2026. Responsibilities include maintaining discipline while the bus is in operation and assisting students in loading, unloading, and seating arrangements as required. The Bus Monitor will also ensure that students depart at the correct stop and are released to the proper guardians. Salary: $25.00 BB&N offers competitive salaries and benefits, employing equitable and consistent compensation practices. The starting salary for any hired candidate is based on experience within salary bands. Compensation for eligible full-time and part-time employees includes a 403(b) plan with up to a 10% match of salary and other competitive benefits offerings. Key Tasks and Responsibilities: The Bus Monitor will also: Assist students while the bus is in operation, including all aspects of safe transport. Document student information and attendance. Communicate medical and/or behavioral issues to the BB&N Associate Director of Transportation as necessary. Document any concerns and/or student behavior before and at the end of the shift. Knowledge of Emergency Evacuation procedures. Other Responsibilities as assigned. Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements, Skills, and Competencies: The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following: Applicants must be at least 18 years old. CPR Certification to be completed within 6 months of employment. Personal or professional experience with basic childcare; Ability to communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents; and Good organizational skills. Technology skills necessary to use BB&N computer systems, including but not limited to Google Suite and ADP Time and Attendance programs.
